"Water Wars"

This past Sunday we had our Life House Network Family Day at Adventure Park USA, in Fredrick ,MD. We had an awesome day as a family, watching the other families there I could tell that everyone was having a great time. One of my favorite rides at the park was the “Crater Lake Bumper Boat’s”. Josh and I went on this ride together, as we got on the boat we had to review our instruments, there was one button to move the boat and another to fire the water cannon. It was so cool, we went out and started shooting every one in sight. We then past by the Super Water Cannons, people waiting in line could shoot those at the bumper boats and totally drench the people in them. It was fun at first but as the bombardment continued it became to much to handle. Our Life Verese for this week is found in Isaiah 40:31, which says “that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.” When we first started the contest we went out strong and assured that we were going to conquer all those who came down our path, but when we were confronted with something more powerful we eventually wanted to give up and call it quits. When we look at Gods Word we learn that life can be hard and a struggle at times, we may want to give up, because the circumstances are to overwhelming or we are just to tired to keep on going. This text reminds us that when we put our trust in the Lord, when our hope is in Him we can overcome, and conquer our trials, through Him we persevere and overcome and gain new perspective on life. After Josh and I finished the ride we walked off drenched, refreshed, and ready to explore the rest of the park. The secret to enjoying and overcoming life is “Jesus”. 🙂
