“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” -Luke 2:14
What a sight this must have been for the shepherd’s, who were tending their flocks when an angelic choir proclaims the birth of Jesus. As they tended their flocks they are caught off guard. This was not the norm. This was out their routine. They must have stood in awe, amazement and peace. Peace is something that our world strives to find and if we are honest we desire it as well. Peace can be found in Jesus. He is known as the Prince of Peace, and peace can be found in Him. Rest in the Lord today! Meditate, pray, worship, read the Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to give you a peace that passes your understanding.
